Here at First Christian Church, we offer Sunday School for Children Pre-K through 5th Grade on Sunday mornings. We offer two classes, one for PreK to Kindergarten and one for 1st to 5th Grade children. Classes explore Bible Stories with games, activities, crafts, and mission projects together. We also provide activity packets for children of all ages who wish to stay in worship with their families. Contact our Children’s Ministry Leader, Laurie Dyer, if you have questions.
Our denomination offers a Summer Camp program of faith, service, and fun for children having completed grades 1st to 5th at Suttle Lake Camp.
We offer Youth Group for middle school and high school youth on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of each month from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at the church. Youth Group offers a meal, games, mission projects, devotions, and time of fellowship together for youth. Contact our Youth Ministry leaders Jonathon Thompson and Lydia Miller for more information.
We offer a Sunday School class for middle school and high school youth on Sunday mornings from 10:00 to 10:30 am at the church. This is a time for youth to explore the Scripture and message of the day together and to support each other with each week. This class is led by our Youth Ministry Leaders.
Throughout the year we offer Youth Fun Events and Mission Projects for middle school and high school youth. We offer six special events per year. Contact our Youth Ministry Leaders to find out about the next event.
Our denomination offers summer camp for middle school and high school youth once a year at Suttle Lake Camp. Camp offers devotions, small groups, games, mission projects, worship, fun, and fellowship with youth from all over our region. Scholarships are available for youth who want to attend. We offer a young adult gathering once a month on the 4th Saturday from 5:00 to 7:00 pm. This is a time of fellowship, games, and mission projects for those ages 18 to 30. Dinner is provided for each event and friends are welcome. Contact Pastor Eric for more information and to find out about the next gathering.
Each Tuesday Morning at 10:30 am we offer the Women’s Discussion Group at our church. This is a time that our women of our community gather for fellowship, prayer, and devotion together.
Our church offers a Christian Women’s Fellowship Group which helps with weddings, funerals, and other special events at the church. They also work together to raise funds for mission and outreach within our church and the greater community. For more information contact Lynn Koenig, Chair of CWF
First Christian Church is pleased to offer our Men’s Fellowship Group which meets monthly for a hearty breakfast and lively conversation at the Water Mountain restaurant (1397 S. Water Street) in Silverton. This gathering is open to all adult men who desires Christian fellowship. A short devotion will take place at each breakfast. Ric Dettwyler, Jeff Marcoe, and Clint Sanford are the co-leaders of the group. We hope to see you there!!
Join us each Wednesday between 5:30 to 7 pm in our Multipurpose room for our Stone Soup meal. Friends and family are welcome. This is a simple free meal of soup, salad, and bread together. People are welcome to bring something to add to the soup or the meal or just bring themselves. Hope you can join us for this time of fellowship together.
Each 2nd Sunday of the month from 5:30 to 7:00 pm we offer an all-church intergenerational fun event where those of all ages can gather for a meal, crafts, games, and mission projects together. Friends and family are always welcome.
Each 4th Sunday of the month from 4:00 to 7:00 pm we offer Finding God at the Movies. This is an intergenerational gathering where we watch a movie together and explore the themes of faith we find in that movie. All Movie are rated PG or less. Dinner is provided and everyone is encouraged to bring their favorite movie snack to share
Do you enjoy knitting or sewing? We encourage you to consider joining our prayer shawl ministries. This a group that works to knit prayer shawls for members at baptisms and in difficult and challenging times as a reminder of the love and prayers of this community that surround each of us. Contact Prayer Shawl Leaders, Lynn Koenig and Vida Shaffer, to join the team.
Each Wednesday evening at 7:00 pm all are invited to join us for Bible Study here at the church. Join us for a time of study, prayers, and communion together.
